Another melodic Misfits and thrash inspired offering from this black-clad bunch. A thrashing verse gives way to a power metal type chorus with a couple of tasty lead guitar licks sprinkled here and there.
Vocalist M. Shadows provides some decent melodies but doesn’t appear to stretch himself much. Still, this should satisfy their current fanbase as all the usual B movie type lyrics [such as: “I don’t believe in fairy tales and no one wants to go to hell”] are in place but the track lacks weight on the chorus and if the guitars had more crunch there would be more to hook the listener in.
The verse has an incessant drumbeat and chugs along at a decent pace and the middle section has some good harmonies but it’s all too forgettable and lacks the bite one would expect [and hope] they possess in the live setting.
