After the success of ‘Three’ and ‘Angels With Dirty Faces’, the ‘babes come back with another bunch of hits ready to invade every UK radio and dancefloor. Despite its immediate catchiness and quite evident pop appeal, ‘Taller in More Ways’ really means what the title says. It’s in fact a more mature and slightly darker album, in which Heidi, Mutya and Keisha show their full potential as singers and interpreters.
From the killer melodies of ‘Push The Button’ to the R&B of ‘Gotta Be You’, to the angst-ridden ‘Ugly’, to ‘Bruised’ - a song about a relationship gone wrong - to the electro beats of ‘It Ain’t Easy’, this record could reach a rather diverse audience. At times breezy, at times angry, the album features an interesting combination of many different moods and a striking mixture of emotions that can be read on more than one level.
