The Trinity Band to Play Ignition Festival in Newcastle
Live and Unsigned winners The Trinity Band will play the Ignition Festival in Newcastle following their success at London’s O2 last weekend.

They’ll play on the same bill as Calvin Harris, Feeder and Miles Kane on Sunday. This is the North East’s only camping festival and the line-up also includes the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, Frank Turner and The Go! Team.

The music competition winners have proved a hit since winning over the judges and can’t wait for the opportunity to show the North East crowd what they can do. “playing at Ignition is going to be amazing it hasn’t sunk in yet. We’re fans of Calvin Harris so looking forward to sharing a stage with him”.

It’s been a whirlwind week for the five-piece with every journalist and photographer suddenly wanting a piece of The Trinity Band, “It's been crazy. We have practically been interviewed every day since the win, with both national and local media having an interest. We feel we have had a taste this week of what it could be like if the future goes as we plan.”

Running from Saturday 6th August to Sunday 7th, including two nights of unrivalled musical talent, a full fairground, vintage stalls and a diverse selection of edible delights, it’s sure to be a memorable highlight in many peoples summers. With weekend festival tickets including camping priced at just £70 Ignition Festival is a class yet wallet-friendly festival, set to showcase the true spirit of the North East. Over 10,000 bands and acts entered the Live and Unsigned music competition back in January 2011 and battled through auditions to the Live Regional Finals, with the best talent making it through to Area Finals, and then the National Grand final at the London O2 on July 23rd, when The Trinity Band were crowned champions.
