As ludicrous as it sounds, Eliza Doolittle's tweeting in the middle of this song actually works. As does the World War One marching song sample in the chorus.
And we don't mean the fact that Doolittle is a twitter-a-holic, we actually mean she tweets ('Tweet, tweet, twee, twee, tweet, tweet...') mid-way through this little number.
It's so wrong yet it works. The single, entitled 'Pack Up' has Summer written all over it, not only for the fact the video is shot in Jamaica and is ska-influenced, but the song is uplifting yet chilled out.
The singular criticism would be that the song doesn't really stand up to Doolittle's debut 'Skinny Genes' which was infectious, unique and you most likely heard it on a few ads. Upon first hearing 'Pack Up', it seemed slightly similar in beat to her debut.
But what am I telling you all this for? Check it out for yourselves at the top of the page. The single just charted at No.15 in the Irish Chart and hopefully will get the new singer into the Top Ten! The single is out now and for anyone who is en route to Oxegen at the moment, Eliza will be playing the main stage tonight!
